About the Teacher

My name is Mrs. Del Val, and I am excited to start my 34th year of teaching at VUSD this year.  

I was born on Camp Pendleton, and I grew up in Fallbrook, Oceanside and Vista.  I graduated from Vista High School, Palomar College, and San Diego State University.  I  live in Vista with my husband, my son, and my daughter.
I love my job!
This year we will work hard to master fifth grade standards and get ready for middle school next year - but don't worry - it will also be fun! 
I am looking forward to meeting my new class this year.
